GMC Software Releases Research on Cross-channel Communication

June 26, 2013

Cross-channel communication is important for any company that wants to establish effective communications with its existing and prospective customers.

No doubt, it is important to flourish. Companies that ignore this emerging technology do so at their own peril. This was highlighted in a report commissioned by GMC Software Technology (GMC). The research states that although currently lagging behind in this field, insurance firms have made multichannel customer experience a key objective of their customer strategies.

It’s not as if the insurance sector is completely unaware of the modern technological innovations in the field of customer communication. About 40 percent of the insurance industry provides good cross-channel communications to their customers. But what they lack is an effective communication strategy on mobile or consumer technology.

A disturbingly large number of companies (about 30 percent) do not even have proper mobile support, and what is worse, they don’t seem to care either. Although this measure seems to have saved some dollars in the short term, it will prove detrimental to the company in the long-run.

GMC’s Inspire is an enterprise communication platform that allows companies to provide relevant personalized messages. While reducing expenses and reaching new markets and customers, this communications platform has facilitated GMC clients to create loyalty that lasts.

“The fact that researched insurance companies placed a growing importance on customer communication management to improve customer insight reflects the growing recognition that the customer experience is a prime determinant of loyalty and future revenue,” said Bill Parker, chief marketing officer for GMC, regarding the report’s findings. “This research provides a critical path to overcoming the challenges posed by legacy communication platforms and recommendations for modernizing customer communications.”

Recently, the company unveiled customer service correspondence with GMC Inspire as the basis. It is a completely computerized solitary platform communication solution.
