Cincinnati-based teleservices giant Convergys is adding to its Asian contact center operations with the acquisition of New Zealand-based Datacom’s contact center operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Manila in The Philippines. The two companies signed an agreement this week.

The transaction is expected to close soon as practicable, and the acquisition will be accretive to Convergys’ 2013 earnings. The physical integration of operations is expected to take between six and nine months.
