Spanlink Communications Hires New Chief Financial Officer

June 21, 2011

Terry Brill has joined Spanlink Communications, a Cisco partner focused on designing, implementing and supporting contact center and customer collaboration solutions, as chief financial officer.

Brill said: “I’m energized by the passion and vision Spanlink’s leadership team and board of directors has for the organization, and I am excited to be part of the team that will make this vision a reality.”

Prior to joining Spanlink, Brill most recently worked for Concur Technologies as corporate treasurer. He has also spent much of his career in the technology sector. His previous role at Avaya, Inc., as controller has provided him with direct industry experience, which will help him to serve Spanlink in the best possible manner.

“Terry’s experience in the high-tech industry, combined with his financial expertise, makes him a natural fit to oversee what we anticipate will be a time of growth for Spanlink,” said Eric LeBow, Spanlink CEO, in a press release.

“His fresh perspective, in conjunction with our strong leadership team, brings even greater potential for us to remain true to our focus serving the contact center sector while also expanding our offerings.”

Spanlink has recently announced an initiative to build on its Cisco contact center expertise by offering a cloud-based solution as well as advanced applications, such as video, and virtualization.

In addition, the company is also expanding its market focus by deploying solutions not only for large-scale businesses, but small and mid-sized businesses as well.

In related news, Concur Technologies Inc., whose Web-based service helps businesses create travel and expense reports, has said that it is entering the Japanese market with the help of venture capital firm SunBridge Corp. The joint venture deal is expected to close in February.
