Kyivstar Deploys Amdocs OSS to Enhance Customer Experiences and Lower Costs

December 19, 2007

Kyivstar, a large mobile communications operator in the Ukraine, has deployed Amdocs OSS (operations support systems) solutions to efficiently manage its network resources and launch new, innovative services more quickly.

To implement this project, Amdocs has partnered with S&T Soft-Tronik, a System integrator in Ukraine.

An operational support system (OSS) is a set of programs that enables communications service provider to monitor, control, analyze and manage their network more powerfully.

"The complexity associated with delivering new services is growing rapidly, as is Kyivstar's subscriber base. Yet in the face of increasing competition there is relentless pressure on Kyivstar to roll out compelling new services, and to do so faster," said Charles Born, vice president of corporate communications for Amdocs.

"Only mature, integrated and well-proven inventory-centric solutions like Amdocs OSS can help meet this demand. Amdocs OSS solutions can lower the total cost of operations, which can have a substantial effect on the operator's overall profitability."
