BPO Firm TMone Appoints New Advisory Board Member

October 08, 2007

Business process outsourcing and database marketing firm TMone announced the appointment of Gregory Crosby to its advisory board. Crosby is currently CEO and President of The NextGen Marketing Group.
From April 2002 to November 2006, Crosby was group vice-president of marketing at McLeodUSA, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based regional competitive communications provider. Prior to McLeodUSA, Crosby was vice president of broadband services at Sprint Corporation. He also has held executive positions at US WEST and TCI Cable in Denver.

At McLeodUSA, Crosby oversaw the transformation of McLeodUSA's entire product line and led efforts to launch several new services such as VoIP and dynamic integrated access.
Earlier this year EarthLink teamed up with TMone, a VoIP customer acquisition firm, to promote the ISP’s Internet voice products, including VoIP, DSL and  home phone services. Under terms of the agreement, TMone will provide sales support for EarthLink’s voice products.
For this project, TMone agreed to use its proprietary broadband subscriber database to reach out to consumers about the EarthLink’s trueVoice product line’s features. TMone’s sales teams will offer bundled voice and data packages to potential customers.
“Increasing consumer awareness of the advantages and benefits of Internet voice is one of EarthLink’s priorities,” noted Staci Parker, vice president of EarthLink Sales. “We chose TMone to help build that awareness and drive consumer adoption because of the company’s experience in marketing new technologies."
When the deal was struck, TMone was working to promote 8x8’s Packet8 residential and business Internet-based phone service offerings. TMone partnered with 8x8 to offer the VoIP service provider with inbound/outbound call center services, database marketing, direct mail, e-mail and Internet-based marketing for all of the company’s residential and small business systems.
