Medical Guardian Expands Leadership Team; Hires Vice President of Sales


Medical Guardian announced today that Robert Smedley has joined the growing organization as vice president of sales. A seasoned sales executive, Robert previously spent eight years as vice president of sales and counseling at Nutrisystem, Inc. In his new role at Medical Guardian, Robert will oversee the inside sales team and upsell division. He will be responsible for strategically driving growth and expansion through sales performance.

"Robert's passion for developing talent and creating a sales team that continues to strive for excellence made him a natural fit for the culture we've established at Medical Guardian. While at Nutrisstem, Inc., Robert was charged with driving the performance of a 400-person call center and was responsible for sales growth of $38 million annually to over $775 million annually. Robert has also previously served as senior vice president of sales and member services at eDiets.com, as well as vice president of sales at Lifeshield, a home security company.



Robert is an RCCSP Certified Call Center Manager. He's also completed the Ken Blanchard Situational Leadership II Training and the Wharton School of Business Executive Development Program.
