Boomtown Spring 2015 Demo Day Unveils Nine New Startups


Today, the third class to go through Boomtown, Boulder's newest startup accelerator, will take stage at the Boulder Theater and publically debut their products and services at the Spring 2015 Demo Day.

With a 2.9% applicant acceptance rate, the selected nine companies finish out the three-month program of product and customer development, and will take the stage to unveil their latest innovations and breakthroughs to investors, supporters and others.

"We continue to be blown away with the quality of applications and couldn't be more pleased with the companies selected for this graduating class," said Erin Beierwaltes, Program Director at Boomtown. "We are very proud of the success rates for the program and we look forward to working with Boomtown's network of mentors to continue to build a strong ecosystem."

Boomtown was founded in 2013 by a group of media, marketing and technology veterans including Alex Bogusky, former principal of ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Toby Krout, Stephen Growth and Jose Vieitez.

The companies that will be showcased include:

  • Audienced: is a platform that changes how events take place by ensuring there is a guaranteed attendance before an event is finalized. The result is people getting together and building support around niche events. A Kickstarter for events.
  • Benchmark Intelligence: is an analytics dashboard for retail chains to understand why certain locations make more money than others. The platform utilizes demographics, traffic patterns, social data, weather and more to assist with the diagnosis of factors positivelyand negatively impacting financial performance.
  • FABRIQ: is a personal safety platform that integrates smart safety features into apps and wearables that you are already using. By leveraging the power of the crowd across multiple devices, individuals and communities can live life without limits.
  • Feedbac: is a platform that helps brands and agencies drive results through video. By combining social data, an automated workflow, and intelligent delivery, Feedbac enables companies to build relationships with their audiences by capitalizing on the growing demand for relevant video content.
  • MailDeck: is an email app and software development kit (SDK) that is enhancing the way that we consume, manage, and interact with our email on a daily basis.
  • SimplyCalled: is a mobile application tool that makes previously painful phone calls to Customer Service simple for the caller & simple for the call center.
  • Stafr: is a marketplace for quick and easy temporary hiring.
  • Visibl: is a Video Marketing Platform that makes it possible for anyone to execute video ad campaigns online by neighborhood, personal interests, age and gender in minutes. We serve our clients' ads across hundreds of ad networks and straight into places like CNN, NYT, Pandora (News - Alert), Facebook, YouTube, or anywhere else your audience is online - on browsers, apps, web, and mobile.
  • Wudup: is a mobile live video stream app that pairs users for 30-second video conversations, so that they can quickly and efficiently make new friends and more authentic connections.
