Western & Southern Names Brodie President and Chief Marketing Officer Brodie to lead field sales operation(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 25 September 2014 Release date- 24092014 - Western & Southern Financial Group (Western & Southern) has announced the promotion of Troy D. Brodie to senior vice president of Western & Southern, and president and chief marketing officer of W&S Agency Group. He has served as interim president of W&S Agency Group since April. 'Troy has more than 28 years of life insurance sales and leadership experience with our company and has successfully led W&S Agency Group as interim president for the past six months,' said John F. Barrett, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Western & Southern. 'He has tremendous leadership qualities and is uniquely positioned to lead our W&S Agency operation to effectively meet the needs of our clients, customers and policyholders.' In addition to leading W&S Agency Group, Brodie will oversee Western & Southern Life's home office staff, its Client Relationship Center, Insurance Profillment Solutions and W&S Brokerage Services, reporting directly to Barrett. Brodie began his career with Western & Southern in 1986 as a sales agent in the Wichita, Kansas, office. He progressed through several leadership positions in the field, serving as sales manager, field management consultant, branch manager and then district sales manager. He joined Western & Southern's corporate office in 2000 as director of marketing and sales for W&S Agency Group and became a divisional vice president one year later. In 2006, Brodie assumed responsibilities as vice president of sales, and earlier this year assumed the role of interim president of W&S Agency Group. Brodie has life and health insurance licenses in Ohio, holds FINRA registrations 6, 26 and 63, and has LUTCF and LLIF designations. He lives in Mason, Ohio, with his wife, Michelle. They have two grown children.
