InfoCision Employees in Three States Stage Largest, Multi-Location 'ALS Ice Bucket Challenge'AKRON, Ohio --(Business Wire)-- Employees of InfoCision (News - Alert) Management Corporation took an icy drenching this afternoon as they staged what they hope became the largest multi-location ALS Ice Bucket Challenge across the company's nearly three dozen call centers. Chief Executive Officer Craig Taylor and seven members of his executive team got doused last week and issued a video challenge to InfoCision's more than 3,500 employees to join the social media-fueled phenomenon that has already raised nearly $90 million for The ALS Association. "At InfoCision, we raise more money for nonprofits than any other call center company in the world, and we're proud to support the work of The ALS Association," said Taylor. "Our goal was to create the largest multi-location challenge across our locations, flash mob style." This afternoon, nearly 650 employees, family and friends and neighbors gathered for the synchronized shivery shower in the parking lot outside InfoCision's Akron corporate headquarters campus on Springside Drive. Their colleagues did likewise in other locations this afternoon as well, including Austintown, Boardman, Dayton, Green and Mansfield in Ohio; New Castle in Pennsylvania and Clarksburg and Huntington in West Virginia. InfoCision in turn challenged the businesses of the greater Akron, Ohio community, including Goodyear, Sterling Jewelers and Smuckers to also participate and help make a difference together. Photos and videos capturing the concurrent commotion circulated quickly throughout the company andbeyond. InfoCision is making a corporate donation, and employees were asked to consider a personal donation to The ALS Association as well so that their gifts may be matched. So far over $10,000 has been raised for the cause, with the final total still being tabulated. Several key community partners supported the cause. SS&G neighbors sent over 30 employees. Lowe's donated 1,000 buckets, AVI Foodsystems donated 1,000 pounds of ice, Novatny Electric donated a lift truck for video and photography, and BEAV Media and Graham River Productions provided video and photography services.
