Top 5 Companies in the Electric Utilities Industry With the Lowest PEG Ratio (OTTR, ITC, FPL, EIX, NU)

Jun 20, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Electric Utilities industry with the lowest price to earnings to growth (PEG) ratios. PEG is valuable in assessing the tradeoff between the price of a stock and expected growth. Generally, the lower the PEG, the better.

Otter Tail ranks lowest with a a PEG ratio of 1.30. Following is ITC Holdings with a a PEG ratio of 1.37. FPL Group ranks third lowest with a a PEG ratio of 1.81.

Edison International follows with a a PEG ratio of 1.87, and Northeast Utilities rounds out the bottom five with a a PEG ratio of 2.16.
