Business Briefs: Elegant Weddings Network is launched


SARASOTA, Mar 01, 2013 (The Bradenton Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Arthur Conforti of Elegant Sarasota Weddings has expanded with his creation of Elegant Wedding Networks of Florida.

Elegant Wedding Networks of Florida will focus on areas outside of Sarasota County where destination weddings thrive.

Conforti's local network, www.SarasotaWeddings.com formed in 2003, is made up of professionals serving the bridal industry and performing special events. Membership is by invitation only and is based on positive experiences and recommendations.



Elegant Sarasota Weddings has contracted with florists that will be heading up territories locally across the state of Florida; starting with Manatee County, Port Charlotte, Boca Grande, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Naples, Marco Island and the South Beach Miami areas.

Elegant Wedding Networks of Florida will operate under the same principals of Elegant Sarasota Weddings. There will be many similarities yet each network will be owned and operated independently.

Richard's Foodporium expands to new warehouse SARASOTA -- Richard's Foodporium's corporate headquarters recently moved into a 22,000-foot warehouse complex in north Sarasota, offering the company much-needed office space, The new space "creates tremendous logistical and distribution benefits for the future," said John Rorer, proprietor of the Richard's Foodporium chain.

Boasting 17 retail locations throughout southwest Florida, Rorer credits the store employees' training and dedication to customer service and building relationships for the chain's success.

"Through years of consistent effort, we've built a trust and loyalty with them that's time-tested and shows through the awards we continue to win without ever asking them to vote," Rorer said.

The company will be launching a series of new products and initiatives, including a high-tech mobile app for smart phones and tablets. Calling 2013 a "game-changing year for Richard's," Rorer said the company also plans to expand its line of private label items, including gourmet oils, salsas, teas, snacks and body care products.

Chamber offers customer service presentation MANATEE -- The Manatee Chamber, along with C1 Bank and On A Shoestring, will offer businesses an opportunity to see how crucial the customer experience is to every business.

Richard Randolph, community outreach team leader and vice chair of Manasota SCORE, will offer a presentation on March 13 from 9-11 a.m. at the Cham ber's Lakewood Ranch Office at the McClure Center, 4215 Concept Court.

Randolph will talk about customers, the problems they face and how business can help them.
