Qosmos Announces HP ArcSight CEF Certification, Joins HP Enterprise Security Technology Alliance Partner Program

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 11 February 2013 Release date- 05022013 - Paris, France - Network Intelligence technology provider Qosmos (www.qosmos.com) today announced that its DeepFlow line of DPI probes has received HP ArcSight Common Event Format (CEF) Certification.

In addition, Qosmos has joined the HP Enterprise Security Technology Alliance Partner Program as a Silver partner.

The Qosmos DeepFlow DPI Probe classifies network traffic into organized flows, describing protocols and relevant metadata in real time. Purpose-built for cybersecurity vendors, the ready-to-use appliance adds behavioral context to traffic monitoring. This information can then be used both as a long-term forensic record, and a source to build simpler, more accurate security information and event management (SIEM) rules. Used in combination with HP ArcSight ESM, HP ArcSight Express or HP ArcSight Logger, Qosmos DeepFlow DPI Probe results in improvements in security visibility and actionable information to quickly differentiate good from bad traffic.

'With the ever increasing volume and complexity of network events, effective cyber security protection requires security teams to identify and validate potentially harmful events as quickly as possible,' said Thibaut Bechetoille, CEO of Qosmos. 'Through our product's new CEF certification from HP, our collective system integrator and managed security provider clients can benefit from an even richer feed of network traffic than ever before.' The interoperability between Qosmos DeepFlow DPI Probe and the HP ArcSight Security Intelligence platform provides full application visibility for all network communications, allowing users to search through events and build alerts for complex application behavior. This allows searching and alerting features to become more fine-grained, resulting in faster searches, fewer false positives, and more accurate alerts for anomalous network activity.

'The frequency and methods employed to breach networks are ever increasing and changing, making the demand for improved visibility into network traffic around security events of vital importance,' said Buck Watia, director, Business Development, Enterprise Security Products, HP. ' Working with Qosmos, we can bring together enhanced network intelligence with market-leading security intelligence to provide customers with enhanced visibility and actionable results to more quickly identify threats.' About QosmosQosmos provides the information layer in service-aware networks based on SDN and NFV. The company specializes in Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and Layer 4-7 Network Intelligence (NI) technologies which recognize thousands of communication protocols and metadata attributes for the most accurate picture of real-time data activity on networks.

The company's software development kit and probes are used by equipment makers, specialized software vendors and cloud service providers in their telco and enterprise offerings which are sold to telcos and enterprises to accelerate time to market and ensure continuous signature updates.

Qosmos' technologies can be embedded inside all next-generation solutions where real-time L4-7 intelligence is critical, such as traffic optimization, policy management, quality of experience, analytics, firewalls, cyber defense, and more. Qosmos can be used in all environments: physical, virtualized and in SDN architectures.
