Carsforsale.com Traffic Increases 70% on Monday After Super Bowl XLVII

Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Feb 08, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Carsforsale.com announced record setting traffic on Monday, the day after Super Bowl XLVII. This record setting traffic represents an increase of nearly 70% over the previous year's traffic. The record setting traffic increased by 10% over the previous day, which shows an incredible increase in visitors to Carsforsale.com over the past year. Carsforsale.com represents one of the largest databases of vehicles for sale on the internet with the site steadily increasing in popularity over the last several years. The pace of growing popularity has been a staggering 100% annually, not just for one year, but for the last several years.

"I am not surprised traffic was heavy and at a record setting level the day after the Super Bowl," stated Aaron Oestreich, Director of Operations for Carsforsale.com. "We have always found that traffic picked up in January, but this year we are seeing traffic grow at a more aggressive pace both online and with mobile devices. Smart phones and tablets are bringing new shoppers to Carsforsale.com because our site is easy to use and gets consumers to the vehicles they want to see very quickly." Visitors using mobile devices increased 199%, which is right in line with reports of the greater number of people surfing the Internet on tablets and smart phones. Carsforsale.com analytics show that Apple iPhone users increased by 264% and Apple iPad users increased 331% over the previous year's post Super Bowl day traffic.

If the winner of the Super Bowl was based on visitors from that city, Carsforsale.com analytics show that the San Francisco 49ers would have won. There were 835% more visitors from San Francisco than from Baltimore.
