Global Organizations More Effectively Manage HCM Reporting with Ultimate Software's UltiPro

WESTON, Fla. --(Business Wire)--

Ultimate Software (Nasdaq: ULTI), a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, announced today that three organizations-Western Asset Management Company, Ideal Innovations, and Flow International-are each using UltiPro as their single system of record for global HCM.

Western Asset Management Company is one of the world's leading fixed-income management companies, with offices in Pasadena, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, New York, São Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo, and Dubai. Prior to going through a major acquisition of a business with several global locations, the financial services company began an evaluation of HR technology providers to identify an HCM solution that could help the company manage its multinational workforce. Since selecting UltiPro in 2005, Western Asset is using UltiPro to track and monitor detailed employee information, which is immediately available for analysis and reporting on employees in the U.S. and around the world.

"We are a global company with hundreds of employees, and roughly 25% of our workforce is based outside of the U.S. Therefore, almost all of our reporting is on a global level," said Rob Sibbrel, manager of compensation and benefits at Western Asset Management. Also relying on reporting to make business decisions, Ideal Innovations is a government contractor with hundreds of employees, including approximately 30% who work overseas. A leader in biometric and forensic services, Ideal Innovations wanted a single HCM solution that could handle its unique business requirements. Employing salaried, hourly, and contract workers, the company needed technology that could handle its payroll complexities while delivering real-time reporting on its global workforce. Ideal Innovations went live with UltiPro as its single system of record for HCM in early 2010.

For example, HR and payroll teams can quickly generate and deliver reports on total global headcount, employee tenure, hires, re-hires, terminations, and more-by entire company or individual country. In addition to having centralized HR reporting on employees, these teams can manage employees' personal, job, salary, benefits, and other HR-related information for multiple countries; empower employees locally with direct access to personal details; and view access to global compensation information.

Before UltiPro, Flow International, the world's leading developer and manufacturer of industrial waterjet machines for cutting and cleaning applications, handled its global HCM operations with more than a dozen systems, including stand-alone payroll, benefits, and performance management. As a result, managers and employees had no visibility into information, and Flow found it difficult to promote effective collaboration among the global HR team without quick access to one centralized solution for workforce information.

Theresa Signorini Treat, vice president of global human resources at Flow International, concluded that the company needed one solution to help make the transformation into a high-performance organization. The company purchased UltiPro in October 2010; completed a quick deployment of the solution for recruitment, onboarding, benefits management, performance management, and payroll for U.S.- and Canada-based employees in March 2011; and has now rolled out UltiPro's HR and talent management features to its international workforce.
