Jan 04, 2013 (Times Record - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- THEFTS VIRGINIA AVENUE, 4200 BLOCK: Property valued at $2,000 was reported stolen at a residence.

23 N. 11TH ST.: An employee at Aviagen Inc., 500 Houser Blvd. in Sallisaw, told police someone stole a tractor-trailer valued at $30,000 while it was being serviced at Penske Truck Rental, according to a police report.

NORTH SIXTH STREET, 600 BLOCK: Property valued at $500 was reported stolen in a residential burglary.

ASSAULTS JOHN TOBIAS, 48, OF FORT SMITH was arrested in the 2200 block of South L Street under suspicion of felony aggravated assault and first-degree terroristic threatening after he allegedly choked his wife and threatened to kill her, according to a police report.

SHAWN LAMONT STRAHAM, 28, OF VAN BUREN was arrested in the 2000 block of North 30th Street in Van Buren under suspicion of felony second-degree battery after he allegedly got into a confrontation with his wife, according to a police report.

FORGERIES/FRAUDS AN 18-YEAR-OLD FORT SMITH WOMAN told police someone fraudulently opened a Cox Communications cable account in her name, accumulating a $315 bill, according to a police report.

BRENDA ANN PIMENTEL, 44, OF VAN BUREN was arrested at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on a felony warrant under suspicion of first-degree forgery, according to a police report.

ILLEGAL DRUGS DERRICK DEWAYNE ROBINSON, 27, OF VAN BUREN was arrested during a traffic stop in the 1500 block of North Sixth Street in Van Buren under suspicion of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with purpose to deliver, carrying a weapon, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and felony theft by receiving, according to a police report.

OTHER INCIDENTS/ARRESTS 3610 GRAND AVE.: Property valued at $1,000 was reported damaged at Coleman Pharmacy during an attempted burglary, according to a police report.

TABITHA CRISP, 29, OF FORT SMITH was arrested in the 2200 block of South Waldron Street under suspicion of felony second-degree forgery and on a felony warrant, according to a police report.

CHRISTOPHER LLOYD SMITH, 37, OF FORT SMITH was arrested at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center on a felony warrant under suspicion of theft of property, according to a police report.
