Tel West to Become TelePacific Communications Co.

Los Angeles, California, Dec 31, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- U.S. TelePacific Corp., which does business as TelePacific Communications (TelePacific), has announced that wholly owned subsidiary Tel West Network Services Corporation will change its name to TelePacific Communications Co. ("TelePacific Communications") effective Jan. 1, 2013. The Texas-based organization will remain fundamentally unaffected with no change in ownership, management, staff or locations, though new sales offices will open in Fort Worth and Houston.

"By combining our companies and leveraging the TelePacific name, we will be able to give our Texas customers more products, even better service and very competitive pricing," says Dick Jalkut, President and Chief Executive Officer of TelePacific. "The organization's Texas headquarters will remain in Austin under the capable leadership of Philip Ross. All sales, service and support teams that customers interface with also will remain in Texas augmented by their peers across TelePacific's larger footprint." Throughout Texas, network upgrades are well underway to support new product offerings including hosted PBX, SIP Trunking, dynamic voice and data using TelePacific's multiple award-winning SmartVoice platform, a breadth of high-speed bandwidth services through 145 recently enabled wire centers across the state, and MPLS, among other services.

"Demand for our voice and high-bandwidth data products is growing significantly," says Philip Ross, President, Texas. "These network infrastructure enhancements will enable us to meet that demand while giving businesses an even wider selection of cost-efficient voice, data and networking solutions to help them connect with their customers and drive productivity." Tel West became part of the TelePacific family of businesses in 2011. The combined companies own extensive fiber and network infrastructure in California, Nevada and Texas, a service footprint covering approximately 20 percent of small and medium-sized businesses in the country.
