Avanade Completes Acquisition of Azaleos

SEATTLE, WA, Dec 18, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Avanade(R), a global business technology solutions and managed services provider, today announced it has completed its acquisition of Azaleos Corporation. Azaleos is a leader in managed services for Microsoft(R) Exchange, SharePoint(R) and Lync(R). It uses advanced software to remotely monitor and manage email, collaboration, and unified communications systems.

The acquisition broadens the portfolio of public and private cloud services that Avanade offers enterprise customers, helping it meet the increasing demand for cloud-based Microsoft communications and collaboration managed services.

Adam Warby, Avanade CEO, said, "Avanade's acquisition of Azaleos builds on our ability to offer customers a choice of delivery options that best meet their unique business needs, including on-premises, Microsoft Office 365 public cloud offering or managed private cloud services. With Azaleos, we now can bring the power of Microsoft technology to organizations as a managed private cloud service while offering high service levels that companies require." Approximately 200 Azaleos employees joined Avanade as part of the acquisition, most of them located in Seattle and Charlotte, North Carolina. The company announced its intent to acquire Azaleos in November. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
