Market Maker Surveillance Report. C, BAC, NRG, ORCL, ALU, QQQ, Highest Net Buy Volume With Lowest Price Friction For Monday, December 17th 2012

Dec 18, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3956 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3376 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2480 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), NRG Energy Inc (NYSE:NRG), Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL), Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE:ALU), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction C $1.030 2.73% 16,952,961 32.95% 13,232,414 25.72% 3,720,547 36,122 BAC $0.420 3.97% 67,025,754 41.17% 53,156,530 32.65% 13,869,224 330,220 NRG $0.340 1.48% 11,813,571 51.82% 6,984,513 30.64% 4,829,058 142,031 ORCL $0.380 1.19% 14,517,487 60.76% 9,193,166 38.47% 5,324,321 140,114 ALU $0.080 6.45% 16,825,064 37.27% 13,229,109 29.31% 3,595,955 449,494 QQQ $0.860 1.33% 21,234,594 51.39% 18,339,927 44.38% 2,894,667 33,659 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows C with a Net Buy Volume of 3,720,547 shares and a Friction Factor of 36,122 shares. That means that it takes 36,122 more shares of buying than selling to move C higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
