On Oct. 9, Rosa Watson, 44 reported to the Odessa Police Department that while she was dropping off a friend in the 300 block of Midland Street, her ex-boyfriend, identified as Jackson, ran up behind her vehicle and began to punch here in the left side of the face, an arrest affidavit states. Watson also reported that Jackson reached into her vehicle and took her cell phone and then ran off.

Watson then drove to Jackson's mother's house to get her cell phone back when Jackson grabbed her by the throat while she was getting out of her vehicle and started to hit her with his fist, the affidavit stated.
