AMERICAN SYSTEMS Awarded $56 Million GSA Connections II Task Order by US Army Reserve Command

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) CHANTILLY, VA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/10/12 -- AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced it was awarded a prime task order by the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) to provide Voice & Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRnet) Communications Support Services under the GSA Connections II contract, at USARC facilities nationwide.

The single-award, firm-fixed-price task order has a two and one-half year period of performance, and a ceiling value of $56,000,000, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at 900 USARC locations across the United States, including Army Reserve Command at Ft. Bragg, NC.

Under the terms of the task order, the AMERICAN SYSTEMS team will perform a wide range of services to encompass operations, administration and maintenance of the USARC enterprise's voice communications network, including communications systems support, billing, circuit provisioning, Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), service desk and lifecycle support including VoIP implementation.

The AMERICAN SYSTEMS team will provide a highly skilled workforce to enhance operations and effectiveness of the Army Reserves nationwide PBX & SIPR communications network including consolidated billing. Additionally, advanced communications technologies will be implemented that improve the USARC infrastructure with the goal of reducing overall costs and improving customer services in the USARC offices nationwide.
