Business Insurance Magazine Honors Sara Bennett of Barney & Barney

Barney & Barney, LLC, one of the nation's largest independent insurance brokerages, today announced that Sara Bennett, a client executive in the firm's San Diego office, has been named one of Business Insurance's "Women To Watch."

The annual "Women To Watch" list recognizes 25 women leaders nationwide doing outstanding work in risk and benefits management, commercial insurance and related fields. A panel of editors made the 2012 selections after reviewing a record number of nominations. Business Insurance recognized tis year's honorees during a luncheon in New York on December 4.

Bennett joined Barney & Barney in 2003 and has become one of the firm's top producers in the Property & Casualty Division. A recognized expert in workers' compensation, Bennett works with a wide range of clients to develop coverage and pricing options. Bennett earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego with majors in Political Science and Business Administration. She holds the professional designations of Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Bennett was recently elected to the board of the San Diego Women's Foundation and is a regular speaker at trade and industry groups.
