Telstra to bring data nearer to home

Dec 03, 2012 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Telstra will seek to capitalise on the increasing popularity of cloud computing with the opening of four new data centres. The centres will form part of the telco's $A800m cloud computing investment upgrade and will service customers with data-sovereignty requirements. Telstra's cloud business generated $A100m in revenue in 2012, but the figure is forecast to increase to more than $A1bn in the longer term.
