United Kingdom,United States : SAP secures certification to run Business Suite products on AWS CLOUD [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SAP, the leading global enterprise software developer, has secured certification to run its Business Suite products in production on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.

With this certification, SAP Business Suite products will now be able to run on Amazon s EC2 cloud. The products comprise SAP s Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply Chain Management and Supplier Relationship Management apps.

Enterprises continue to look for ways to innovate faster, cut costs and standardise their use of AWS across their whole IT landscape. With SAP Business Suite running in production on AWS, enterprises can take advantage of the AWS pay-as-you-go model to run their applications securely, quickly and cost-effectively, paying only for the resources used, said Terry Wise, Head of worldwide partner ecosystem at AWS.

According to AWS, the businesses with SAP can now support thousands of instantaneous users in production without major costs to construct their own underlying infrastructure.

In October, SAP s in-memory database technology - HANA One, had secured certification for production use on AWS.

Customers large and small are experiencing tremendous success when running their SAP applications on AWS, whether it s SAP HANA One and now SAP Business Suite.
