Liberty Global's UPC Deploys Jungo Panorama to Enable Remote Management of Horizon Platform
AMSTERDAM --(Business Wire)--
BBWF, 16-18 October 2012 - Jungo, now part of Cisco (News - Alert), a leading
provider of gateway and remote management solutions for home broadband
service offerings, today announced that its Panorama remote management
system has been successfully deployed by UPC in the Netherlands, a
subsidiary of Liberty Global (News - Alert), the leading international cable operator,
with the launch of the Horizon platform.
Highlights:
-
Jungo's Panorama is a TR-069 remote management system and customer
support representative application that will enable UPC to manage the
digital home in its entirety.
-
Panorama provides service providers with the tools they need to
control gateways, set-top boxes, "second screens" and other CPE as
well as broadband voice data and video services. The result is better
customer service and operational excellence, reducing costs and churn
and extending the service providers' visibility into the subscriber
experience.
-
Panorama presents customer support representatives with meaningful
data in a friendly user interface, negating the need to browse through
device data models with hundreds of parameters. It aids them in
identifying and resolving problems, based on real-life experience.
Panorama offers an intuitive top-down view, comprehensive information
on the user environment, root cause analysis and a customizable
interface.
-
Together with NDS' MediaHighway® middleware, the
functionality of Panorama extends beyond the standard TR-069 data
model, enabling better and faster fault discovery, analysis and
resolution through the Horizon multimedia home gateway.
