Netflix, RADiUS-TWC Introduce Latest Films to U.S.

Netflix, Inc. recently signed a multi-year contract with RADiUS-TWC, the latest multi-platform distribution brand from The Weinstein Company. As per the contract, a schedule of the latest grand films, starting early 2013, will be made available to U.S. Netflix members.
 
'We are delighted to be extending our relationship again with TWC, incorporating the cutting edge and crowd-pleasing movies distributed by RADiUS," said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer, Netflix. "Weinstein movies like this year's Academy Award winning best picture, 'The Artist,' and the biggest French box office hit ever, 'The Untouchables,' are coming to Netflix in the next few months, and we are looking forward to having the RADiUS titles soon after.'
 
The slate of movies to be made available in real time will include "Bachelorette," a satirical comedy from Leslve Hedland featuring Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan as three best girlfriends; "Only God Forgives," a sequel to Drive by Nicolas Winding Refn and featuring Ryan Gosling and Kristen Scott Thomas; and "Butter," a Telluride spoof featuring Jennifer Garner, Ty Burrell, Olivia Wilde, Rob Corddry, Ashley Greene, Alicia Silverstone and Hugh Jackman.
 
Netflix members in the U.S. will also be able to view the Toby Maguire, Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Haysbert, Kerry Washington, Ray Liotta and Laura Linney starrer, "The Details," along with Bruce Willis, Rebecca Hall, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Vince Vaughn in "Lay the Favorite," directed by Stephen Frears.
 
Both films had launched at Sundance with huge fanfare.

According to Tom Quinn and Jason Janego, co-presidents of RADiUS-TWC, the organization is extremely enthusiastic about the collaboration with Netflix. Both organizations are extremely passionate when it involves the introduction of marquee amusement across a variety of genre to spectators on their own stipulations.
