Rebtel Launches Windows Phone App for Low-Cost International VoIP Calling

Stockholm, Sweden & San Francisco, USA, Jul 18, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Rebtel, the world's largest mobile VoIP company after Skype, today announced the launch of Rebtel for Windows Phone. The app is available for free starting today on the Windows Marketplace and enables anyone to make high quality cheap international calls to friends and family thanks to Rebtel's local number network available in more than 50 countries. Today's introduction of the Windows Phone app joins the fleet of existing Rebtel app offerings currently available for iPhone, Android, iPad, Android tablet.

"Today, we are thrilled to take the next step towards offering the most comprehensive suite of mobile apps for low-cost international calling by announcing Rebtel for Windows Phone. The app lets users realize huge savings of up to 98% and takes advantage of users' wireless plan minutes to connect calls instead of a Wi-Fi or 3G connection," says Andreas Bernström, CEO at Rebtel.

Rebtel for Windows Phone features: Low-Cost Calls to Any Phone As a user of the Rebtel Windows Phone app anyone can browse through the native address book on their phone, select any contact with an international phone number and get started talking within seconds for rates up to 98% lower than an average operator's, and up to 60% lower than current Skype Out rates.

Native Address Book Integration No more contact syncing that mess up an address book or searching for hard to remember user names. The Rebtel Windows Phone app seamlessly integrates with the native address book, and automatically displays current Rebtel rates to all contacts and groups with international numbers to give a clear view of which ones can be called for up to 98% less.

Low-Cost SMS Send low-cost international text messages to friends in more then 170 countries with average cost savings of up to 60% versus regular operator charges. If a user wants a friend to reply to a message for free, select the Collect Reply box and include a link in the message that lets a friend reply via a mobile web page without them picking up the tab.

Call Whenever with Crystal Clear Quality Thanks to Rebtel's local numbers network available in more than 50 countries around the globe, users can save on international calls anytime, anywhere without having to use a spotty 3G data connection or look for a Wi-Fi hotspot. Instead, users may use wireless plan minutes from an operator to call across the globe.

Bernstrom continued, "Our goal is to provide free or low cost international calling to as many people as possible across the world. With Windows Phone holding a current 5.2% market share, which is predicted to reach 19.2% by 2016, this is a natural development for us. With Microsoft's recent unveiling of Windows Phone 8, we think the platform holds great promise and we're very excited about this announcement that will allow us to continue keep users happy no matter what device preference they have." Rebtel for Windows Phone is available for free starting today on the Windows Marketplace. You can download the app here.
