NDIA, NTSA Will Be On Hand At Seventh Annual Capitol Hill Modeling and Simulation Expo, Set To Focus On Homeland Security, First Response

Arlington, VA and Washington, DC, Jun 22, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is pleased to announce The Seventh Annual Capitol Hill Modeling and Simulation Expo, scheduled for Thursday, June 28, 2012, in the Foyer of the House Rayburn Office Building.

Organized by the Arlington-based National Training and Simulation Association, (NTSA), with the cooperation and participation of the Congressional Modeling and Simulation Caucus, this event, the Washington area's largest annual exhibition of modeling, simulation and virtual reality technology, will take place from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm and will feature 18 exhibitors, many of which represent corporations or other organizations with headquarters or offices in the Washington area.

Modeling and simulation technology is rapidly moving into new areas of application, including cyber security training, emergency response and homeland security preparedness, a wide variety of clinical and medical training, as well as more traditional military and national security readiness. The variety and timeliness of the capabilities on display at the Expo will testify to this rapid expansion of the technology into all areas of human learning and training, as well as to the exciting developments that promise to soon erase the barrier between reality and virtual reality.

Media representatives are cordially invited to attend this event; exhibitor personnel will be on hand to describe and demonstrate their exhibits, and attendees will be able to fully participate in the various simulations on display. Members of Congress will be present, and formal remarks are scheduled for 10:00 am, just prior to the Expo's opening. Representative J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) will offer remarks during the opening.
