DMTI's Arthur Berrill Appointed to TECTERRA's Business Advisory Committee

(DMTI), Canada's leading provider of Location Intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that Arthur Berrill, Vice President of Technology, was appointed to TECTERRA Inc.'s Business Advisory Committee.

As a member of the committee, Arthur is responsible for helping to evaluate funding proposals for geomatics projects. Arthur was selected to serve on the committee due to his years of experience and widely acknowledged expertise in the field of geomatics.

Arthur has more than 30 years of experience in the geomatics industry, managing the architecture, design and development of enterprise spatial systems. He has patented several designs and technologies in multiple countries, and holds the Canadian patent for a 'Location Based Service Provider.' Arthur has an Honours Degree in Engineering from the University of Queensland in Australia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Photogrammetry from the International Institute of Aerial Survey and Earth Sciences.

Through a full range of support programs, TECTERRA enables Canadian companies to bring geomatics solutions to market. Arthur will advise TECTERRA on supporting a variety of companies, ranging from start-ups to established medium size businesses. Projects currently supported by TECTERRA include the development of GIS systems for forest fire modeling and management; the use of satellite and imagery technologies for pipeline defects and gas emissions; the use of integrated satellite, wireless and inertial navigation signals for low-cost, precise indoor navigation and many other advanced geospatial applications.
