JDA Software Announces Winners of the 2012 Real Results Awards

JDA^® Software Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: JDAS), The Supply Chain Company^®, today announced winners of the 2012 Real Results Awards. Eight companies that have achieved industry-leading results and transformational benefits through deployment of JDA's innovative and proven solutions and services will be honored at FOCUS 2012, JDA's 22^nd annual global conference in Las Vegas, April 29 - May 2.

JDA Real Results Award winners were selected from among JDA's more than 6,000 global customers and represent companies that have the best supply chain success stories. Selected by a panel of JDA executives, the following 2012 Real Results Award winners achieved measurable return on investment, developed innovative approaches to supply chain processes and collaborated beyond traditional supply chain boundaries.

The 2012 Real Results Award winners are:

Canadian Tire Retail, one of Canada's most recognized and trusted brands, has built an innovative, pioneering and enduring relationship with JDA that has allowed it to fend off competition and establish itself as the leading retail supply chain practitioner in Canada. Through a long-term strategic collaboration with JDA, Canadian Tire has transformed its demand and fulfillment capabilities, slashed its inventory carrying levels and delayed a capital expenditure of CA (News - Alert)$250 million for five years - all while continuing to grow its business. The company was also the first customer for what is now JDA Cloud Services. Today, Canadian Tire shares its demand forecasts with vendors, resulting in improved performance and collaboration.

Grupo Flexi is the largest footwear manufacturer in Mexico, producing more than 13 million pairs of shoes annually. Flexi partnered with JDA to improve its forecasting and supply chain planning capabilities. Today, Flexi generates production plans for 30 company-owned and subcontracted factories, and more than 5,000 SKUs each season. In addition to reducing its supply chain planning time by 50 percent, Flexi has increased its service levels by 30 percent and inventory turns by almost 15 percent.

Federated Co-operatives Limited provides central wholesaling, manufacturing and administrative services to locally owned retail co-operatives across Western Canada. By teaming up with JDA, Federated Co-operatives not only improved speed to market on new product introductions and inventory rationalization, but also generated CA$500,000 by reducing costs and improving margins. Additionally, the co-operative increased its forward-buy margins by more than CA$2.5 million.

JFE Steel Corporation is the fifth largest steel manufacturer in the world, providing high quality, high-performing products globally to diversified industries. To increase its responsiveness to market changes, improve customer satisfaction and build a more efficient supply chain, JFE formed a partnership with JDA to drive supply chain management reform. This helped the company to shorten the timeline to formulate sales and operations plans by 50 percent, while improving the planning accuracy by 10 percent. Mainly, inventory in the distribution center, as well as supply chain costs such as logistics, were significantly reduced.

Lenovo, a $21 billion personal technology company, and the second largest PC company in the world, leveraged JDA Cloud Services to achieve infrastructure cost savings of several hundred million dollars on an annual basis. Additionally, it has increased revenue by more than 100 percent and profits by more than 350 percent.

Lowe's Companies, Inc., the second largest home improvement retailer worldwide, and the ninth largest retailer in the United States, leveraged JDA transportation management solutions to automate and optimize its ocean carrier network at the lane level, improving efficiencies and enabling better collaborative relationships with its ocean carriers. Today, all planning, optimization and booking is conducted within one system, with full visibility into vendor and carrier performance. By improving efficiencies, Lowe's reduced international transportation spend by nearly 2 percent for millions of dollars in savings.

RONA inc. is the largest Canadian distributor and retailer of hardware, renovation and gardening products, operating a network of nearly 700 corporate, franchise and affiliate stores of various sizes and formats. Leveraging JDA's demand and fulfillment capabilities, RONA has increased its forecast accuracy to 75 percent, and its promotional item availability from 95 percent to 99 percent.

Woolworths South Africa is a leading retailer of quality clothing, food, home ware, beauty and financial services products, with more than 400 stores across Africa, Mauritius and the Middle East. By partnering with JDA to revolutionize its core retail processes, Woolworths has integrated its pre-season planning with in-season execution, increasing sales by 2 percent and improving margin delivery by 14 percent above target.

Representatives from each award-winning company will participate in a roundtable discussion during FOCUS 2012, providing attendees with insights into the accomplishments each business achieved.
