Apr 16, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) --
CyberC4:Capture is Designed to Deter, Monitor, and Catch Insider Threats
Across Satellite Networks
Product Introduction at National Space Symposium, Colorado Springs, CO
April 16-19, 2012
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 16, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its RT Logic subsidiary released CyberC4(TM):Capture, which is designed to address the critical issue of cyber security risks associated with insider threats. CyberC4:Capture is a real-time monitoring and recording appliance developed to capture and record user sessions for insider threat deterrence, incident response, and forensic investigations.
"Insider threat, whether intentional or accidental, is an escalating concern among our C4ISR and commercial satellite ground system customers. Though most shift operators know that their actions are subject to being monitored, the methods commonly used for monitoring are not always enough to deter sophisticated insiders," said Jerry Meleski, Vice President of RT Logic. "Often when users simply are made aware that all direct interactions with a workstation are being captured, it brings a much higher level of accountability to the picture."
Operating much like a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), CyberC4:Capture functions to monitor and record operator inputs on user workstation sessions in real-time, providing an essential first line defense for deterring both inadvertent and intentional insider threats. Network administrators, information assurance managers and security officers can search captured sessions by keyword. Selecting a session automatically queues up and plays the video starting a moment before the keyword occurs. In addition, the Timeline tool allows users to quickly scan through sessions for suspicious activities and select specific segments for instant playback.
Available as a standalone solution, CyberC4:Capture is designed to seamlessly integrate with other products in RT Logic's CyberC4 family, including CyberC4:Alert, the first Security Information Event Manager (SIEM) optimized for satellite ground networks, which can incorporate Capture videos into Alert's unified situational awareness dashboard. CyberC4:Capture can also be used for training and quality assurance, allowing recording of important events such as Launch Rehearsals for playback and after-action review.
CyberC4:Capture is the latest product to be released in RT Logic's CyberC4 line of cyber security and mission assurance solutions targeting satellite ground networks. The other products include: CyberC4:Alert, for network-wide real-time situational awareness; CyberC4:Armor, for hardening SATCOM equipment against exploits; and CyberC4:Guard, a cross domain solution for exchanging message traffic between security domains.
RT Logic is a leading provider of innovative products for ground stations, satellite test equipment and satellite operations. RT Logic's products are trusted on over 85% of space missions.
The CyberC4 products will be demonstrated at Kratos' booth # 408 at The National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, April 16-19, 2012. For more information on the CyberC4 products, please visit www.RTLogic.com/cyber.
