3D Medical Software Entrepreneur to Speak at HealthCamp Orlando

Apr 12, 2012 (Mass Media Distribution LLC via COMTEX) -- Mr. Rocha feels that physicians are increasingly challenged to meet work flow demands while still providing quality and informative consultations with their patients. His biomedical engineering background and experience in working with physicians showed that there was a need for physicians to interactively educate patients about their condition and then generate a care plan. Orthopedists, Chiropractors and Physical Therapists can now deliver powerful consultations in less time using either web-based or desktop 3D software products. The 3D modeling applications can also be used for legal professionals to utilize during depositions and within courtroom presentations.

Mr. Rocha holds a degree in Engineering and has an extensive background in biomedical engineering, software development, and sales. Before forming 3D Practice (http://3dpractice.com) Robert worked for companies such as Motorola, Cadence Design Systems, and Avnet. He has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida. Prior to 3D Practice Mr. Rocha was a Biomedical Engineer in Pulmonary Research at the University of South Florida and James A. Haley VA Hospital. He was also a Software Developer in Neurophysiologic Research at the University of South Florida Medical College. He has a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing and Digital Communications also from the University of South Florida and worked as a Software Digital Signal Processing Engineer for Motorola.
