Ashburn, VA, Apr 12, 2012 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Intelligent Decisions (ID), Inc., a premier global IT systems integrator, announced today that the U.S. Air Force (USAF) will partner with Panasonic Toughbook(R) mobile computers to deliver Panasonic Toughbooks to American bases worldwide. Toughbooks provide rugged reliability to USAF technicians on the flight line or during critical missions, offering a single point of access to all the information they need to efficiently manage maintenance operations. The Toughbook 31 fully-rugged notebook and Toughbook 53 semi-rugged notebook can be purchased as part of the USAF e-Tools program. Both mobile computers will be included in the e-Tools program effective immediately and ending February 2013.

USAF technicians must access technical orders and manuals, as well as parts databases, to troubleshoot and repair aircraft. This information has been digitized and technicians can now rely on Toughbooks computing solutions to deliver paperless technical orders.

Abiding by strict standards, the USAF evaluated vendor solutions for performance, technical support and compatibility through testing and analysis. Panasonic Toughbooks fully meet the key requirements with their rugged reliability, particularly in demanding environments.

The e-Tools catalog of systems is available through AFWAY, a Web-based Air Force system for purchasing IT that provides a one-stop resource where Air Force customers can quickly learn about an array of products and services.
