Frontier Communications Reports Network Enhancements and Capital Investments in Oregon

Apr 09, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Frontier Communications recently announced 2011 network enhancements and capital investments for its operations in Oregon, which continue to transform the service areas the company acquired in July of 2010.

"We're proud to announce that we invested approximately $49 million in Oregon in 2011," said Ken Gaffga, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Frontier's Oregon operations, in a release.

"During the past 19 months, we built out our telecommunications network to make Frontier broadband available to more than 25,000 new homes and businesses, expanding availability in our service territory from 85 percent to 95 percent. We are aggressively deploying Metro Ethernet service and Dedicated Internet Access capabilities to serve the growing bandwidth needs of our commercial customers. These services are delivered via Frontier's backbone network which connects all of the company's central switching offices.

"Our core values are 'put the customer first' and be locally engaged in the communities we serve. We have four distinct market areas in Oregon, each led by a General Manager responsible for the overall customer experience in his or her areas." Frontier offers Broadband, digital phone service, FiOS television and video service, satellite video, customer premises equipment (telephone systems, support for commercial businesses and e911 applications) and web security/data back-up.
