AppNeta Launches AppView Video

Apr 09, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- AppNeta, a provider of cloud-based network performance management services, announced the launch of AppView Video, a new module for the PathView Cloud performance management service.

According to a release, AppView Video, a solution for real-time video conferencing, enables network engineers and IT teams to verify the quality of a video conference services before and during actual video conferencing calls.

PathView Cloud with AppView Video uses active methodology to generate actual video, audio and signaling portions of the conference, with full support for QoS on all three traffic classes. PathView Cloud with AppView Video determines the network readiness for video conferencing, providing support for telepresence systems, personal desktop video and other video conferencing architecture to assure service.

"The quality of a videoconferencing session depends on the consistency and performance of the underlying network," said Ira Weinstein, senior analyst and partner, Wainhouse Research. "AppNeta's PathView Cloud service enables enterprises to pre-assess the network's ability to host IP video traffic, proactively monitor network performance before, during, and after video calls, and then report back with real-time information about their network." AppNeta's PathView Cloud solutions leverage a zero-administration, cloud-based service to meet the performance demands of distributed networks and mainstream network-dependent applications including unified communications, cloud services and virtualization.

PathView Cloud with AppView Video offers support of deployment architecture including mesh, bridge, hub-and-spoke, and multi-point.
