Final Day of FOSE Featured an Impressive Panel of Women in Technology

VIENNA, Va. --(Business Wire)--

The final day of FOSE 2012 started off with a Women Leaders in Technology Panel Keynote. Moderated by Anne Armstrong, President and Chief Content Officer, 1105 Government Information Group, the panel consisted of leading women in technology across government and industry, including: Susan Swart, Chief Information Officer, Department of State; Lisa Schlosser, Deputy Associate Administrator, Office of E-Government and Information Technology, Office of Management and Budget; Dawn Meyerriecks, Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Acquisition, Technology, and Facilities, Office of the Director of National Intelligence; Judith Marks, President & Chief Executive Officer, Siemens (News - Alert) Government Technologies; and Linda Brooks Rix, President and Co-CEO, Avue Technologies. These highly successful women discussed the challenges they face with security requirements, adjustments in workforce demographics, and the shift to integrated solutions and technology applications.

In addition, the free education and live demos taking place in the FOSE exhibit hall continued to be one of the main highlights of the event. The Cyber Attack demo presented by Mischel Kwon of Mischel Kwon and Associates and Government Computer News' Technology Analyst, Greg Crowe, showd a standing-room-only audience the step-by-step patterns and methodologies for detecting attacks on an individual system and network, specifically displaying how cyber criminals set up shop and exfiltrate data.

Exhibitors on the show floor continued to be impressed with the quality of attendees, as indicated by Mike Morper, Vice President of Marketing for NSi. "Government agencies are particularly concerned about data loss protection and chain of custody, which is inherent in a shared device such as a printer, copier or scanner," said Morper. "FOSE provides an exceptional opportunity for NSi to highlight our AutoStore solution where credentials are validated at log-in and user information is approved for maximum control and security. With the explosion of data, government mandates and the need to develop more streamlined processes, we are delighted to have this forum to present real case scenarios that show how government agencies can streamline procedures for compliance, security and best practices."

"FOSE wrapped up on a high note and we look forward to carrying this momentum over to our event in 2013," said Daniel McKinnon, Vice President, Government Events, 1105 Media, Inc. "We are thrilled to announce FOSE will again be co-located with GovSec and take place May 14-16, 2013. As always, we will continue to raise the level of speakers and education in technology and policy management, making FOSE the one stop show for government technology decision makers."
