Fonality, DioJapan, Communication Business Avenue and QLOOG to Provide City of Iwaki Call Center Support for Japanese Tsunami and Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster Victims

Apr 02, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Fonality, a provider of IP-based business communications solutions, in a coordinated effort with DioJapan, Communication Business Avenue and QLOOG, has been selected by the City of Iwaki to implement communications technology for a new call center that will offer around-the-clock support to those affected by the March 2011 Tsunami and Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant disasters.

According to a release, Fonality's trixbox Pro, an IP-PBX software based, hybrid-hosted platform, will serve as the hub for this mission critical project.

The call center will operate 24/7 as the primary information network between the government and the citizens, providing information, such as healthcare and housing assistance. The call center is a critical part of a massive government financial assistance plan for Japan residents.

"We are honored to work with the City of Iwaki on a project of this magnitude," said Fonality CEO David Scult. "Fonality's solutions are extremely reliable, and we welcome the opportunity to provide the residents of Japan with the support they need as they continue to recover from these catastrophic events that deeply impacted their nation and the world as a whole." "The adaptability of Fonality's technology is an ideal fit for this extremely important call center," said QLOOG CEO Kazuhiro Arao. "With the innovative combination of premise-based reliability and cloud-based flexibility that trixbox Pro offers, we are extremely confident that this project will be successful." Fonality trixbox Pro delivers business communication solutions through a partner network.

Investors include Intel Capital, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Azure Capital Partners.
