Centrify DirectControl for Mac OS X Earns Certificate of Networthiness From US Army NETCOM

SUNNYVALE, CA, Mar 28, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Centrify Corporation, the leading provider of security and compliance solutions that centrally control, secure and audit access to cross-platform systems, mobile devices and applications using Active Directory, today announced that its Centrify DirectControl for Mac OS X has earned the Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) from the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology (NETCOM) Command 9th Signal Command.

A requirement for any software deployed in the U.S. Army's Enterprise Infrastructure Network, this certification assures U.S. Army agencies that Centrify DirectControl for Mac OS X has met all network standards set by the U.S. Army. Its certification number, as referenced on the U.S. Army Knowledge Online (AKO) website and available to authorized Army personnel, is CERT-20121061.

Centrify's ongoing commitment to the Federal Government market is demonstrated by this new certification and the recent FIPS 140-2 Level 1 validation of DirectControl on Mac OS X and Red Hat Linux, making Centrify DirectControl for Mac OS X the only Active Directory Bridging solution to achieve both certifications. In addition, Centrify DirectControl for Mac OS X has also received the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) certification for support of Common Access Cards (CAC) and strong authentication.

Companies applying for the CoN see their products thoroughly examined to validate that the products meet the U.S. Army's requirements such as network security, network impact, compatibility with the infrastructure, communications and information support. Only products that are compliant with these strict standards are permitted on the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network.

It offers an advanced set of capabilities for integrating and managing Mac systems with existing infrastructure to reduce costs and improve security.

DirectControl is an integrated component of Centrify Suite 2012, Centrify's security and compliance solution for controlling, securing and auditing access to cross-platform systems and applications using Active Directory. Features in DirectControl for Mac OS X include support for automated digital certificate enrollment, additional CAC, CACNG and PIV smart card support specific to the U.S. Federal Government, enhanced Apple FileVault Full Disk encryption support, advanced printer management, and additional desktop lockdown capabilities.
