Solera Networks Names Security Industry Veteran John Vecchi as Vice President of Marketing

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Mar 27, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Solera Networks, the industry's leading advanced Security Intelligence and Analytics provider, today announced the appointment of John Vecchi as Vice President of Marketing. Vecchi brings more than 16 years of experience delivering new security and technology products to market. In this role, Vecchi will be responsible for driving Solera's global branding, demand-generation and market-expansion initiatives as organizations continue to shift their cybersecurity focus toward breach preparedness, data warehousing and actionable threat response.

Vecchi joins Solera from Zscaler, where he was Vice President of Global Marketing. Prior to Zscaler, he was Head of Global Product Marketing for Check Point Software -- overseeing the company's enterprise and SMB solution portfolio and serving as the primary corporate spokesperson and visionary. Prior to Check Point, he was an executive marketing consultant for Symantec Corporation, as well as Sr. Director of Product and Solution Marketing, Network Security Business Unit, at McAfee. Vecchi also held various executive marketing and product marketing/management positions at Webloq, Inc.

and Motorola/Symbol.

"Adding an accomplished security industry veteran and marketing executive like John to Solera Networks further strengthens our leadership team at this very exciting time," said Steve Shillingford, President and CEO of Solera Networks. "As our growth and position as the leader in security intelligence and analytics continues to accelerate, John's knowledge and expertise will lead the execution, expansion and delivery of our game-changing, best-of-breed security solutions to global enterprises, organizations and service providers." "I am thrilled to join such a proven and impressive Solera team and help extend the leadership position the company has already achieved as the most important security intelligence and analytics company on the cybersecurity landscape," said Vecchi. "Organizations large and small are increasingly accepting the fact that breaches will occur -- regardless of how robust the security environment. As such, they are turning their attention to 'preparedness' and answering difficult post-breach questions like 'who or what caused the breach?'; 'what systems or data were compromised?'; and 'are we sure its over?' Solera's game-changing technology is unrivaled in its ability to help organizations swiftly answer these questions when dealing with the reality of security breaches, information loss and advanced malware."
