Western States Contracting Alliance Awards WidePoint Subsidiary iSYS Wireless Management Contract

Mar 27, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- WidePoint Corporation, a Company focusin on communications management and cybersecurity solutions, announced that its subsidiary, iSYS, has been awarded a Master Agreement contract to provide the Western States Contracting Alliance with Wireless Management and Contract Compliance Services led and issued by the State of Utah.

In a release, the Company noted that the contract period of performance is Feb. 1, through Jan. 31, 2015. This three-year contract was a multi-award, indefinite-duration/indefinite-quantity type contract, and it is available to the State of Utah and all 52 members of the NASPO Cooperative, including the 15 members of WSCA.

WSCA is a cooperative purchasing arm of the National Association of State Purchasing Officials. WSCA's mission is to implement multi-state contracts for its member states. WSCA member states include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The State of Utah, Division of Purchasing was designated by WSCA to be the lead State conducting this procurement and all other NASPO states may also participate in using this Master Agreement.

WSCA has projected the 2010 respective spend for Wireless at $3.1 Billion as a baseline measurement. The following states have already submitted intent to participate in this award: Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia.
