Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.0 Million Contract for Medium-Power Tri-Band Amplifiers

MELVILLE, N.Y., Feb 22, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., has been awarded a $1.0 million contract to supply medium-power tri-band amplifiers for a vehicle-mounted tactical satellite communications (SATCOM) system.

The Comtech Xicom tri-band amplifiers can transmit signals using three different SATCOM bands, giving users the flexibility to operate worldwide on either military or commercial spacecraft, and are ruggedized to cope with the rigorous deployment environments.
