Enterproid and BroadSoft Provide an Enterprise User Experience for BYOD Mobility

Feb 20, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Enterproid, maker of the Divide platform for securely enabling and accelerating "bring your own device" (BYOD) mobility, announced the integration of its platform with BroadSoft's communications platform.

According to a release, the Divide platform delivers a dual-persona user experience with the work persona secured and cloud-managed by IT. This integration offers a rich BYOD experience by enabling employees to use and manage their business communications services, including text messaging from a business number, business directory integration, call settings management, extension dialing and much more from their personal mobile device. As a result, employees now have convenient access to their work calls without compromising their privacy, since their mobile phone number is reserved for personal calls.

Enterproid and BroadSoft are creating a new and rich enterprise user experience for greater worker productivity. In a recent survey of IT leaders by CIO Magazine, over 80 percent of the respondents indicated that increased user satisfaction and productivity were the top business benefits of a BYOD policy. Respondents also reported that almost half of all businesses are moving to a unified communications environment.

"The integration of Divide and BroadSoft's communications platform creates a new standard for BYOD mobility, virtualizing the worker's office, making it accessible on the employee's personal Android device and delivering it via the cloud regardless of carrier, device or version of Android OS running on their device," said Alexander Trewby, vice president of product and an Enterproid co-founder. "While other BYOD solutions focus on corporate email or the use of dual phone SIMs, the integration with BroadSoft's platforms has extended the BYOD user experience to encompass workplace messaging, data and voice services, while also giving IT the tools to secure, manage and tailor the BYOD experience for each employee. We give the employee the flexibility to get what they need to do their job, anytime and on any device, without compromising user experience or privacy." "With the explosive growth of smart mobile devices, enterprises are increasingly being asked by employees to support the delivery of business communication services to personal mobile devices," said Curtis Hartmann, senior director mobile solutions, BroadSoft. "Our integration with the Divide platform enables the delivery of a broad range of unified communication services, including calling and text messaging from a business number, corporate directory integration, business feature management, and much more, to an employee's personal mobile device, while providing IT managers with the assurance that their enterprise information is secure and they can effectively manage costs." The Divide platform by Enterproid enables employees to use their personal mobile device for work and life with a dual persona device experience that they can manage from MyDivide. This personal management portal provides the employee a way to lock, beacon, or wipe their mobile device in the event it is lost or stolen. Similarly, Divide Manager for IT includes a fleet-management console for supporting enterprise-wide policy deployment and enforcement, including the ability to see all connected devices, set policies by group, perform remote wipes of corporate data, lock the corporate persona and administer password reset.
