WatchDox Integrates with SharePoint [Health & Beauty Close - Up]

(Health & Beauty Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WatchDox, a provider of document control, tracking and protection solutions, announced integration with SharePoint 2010.

The WatchDox SharePoint Connector enhances SharePoint to allow access to documents from outside the firewall and on any mobile device, while ensuring these documents are secured, the Company said.

The WatchDox SharePoint Connector complements SharePoint's document management strengths with secure document exchange functionality, allowing SharePoint administrators to: -Enable users to send documents securely from the SharePoint interface to anyone inside and outside the organization, or to share entire SharePoint libraries through the WatchDox virtual data room service.

-Apply persistent protection to documents, restricting downloading, copying, printing and forwarding and provide granular tracking and auditing.

-Destroy shared documents at any time - even after they have been downloaded onto any PC or mobile device.

-Provide access to documents on any mobile device with security, and the ability to destroy documents if the device is lost or stolen.

These capabilities make it an ideal solution for sharing sensitive documents such as financials, product specs, blueprints and other intellectual property with partners and customers.

"The WatchDox document-centric security approach enables organizations to leverage their significant SharePoint investment by allowing them to control, track and revoke documents wherever they are and on any device - including iPhones, iPads, BlackBerrys, laptops and desktop computers," said Moti Rafalin, CEO of WatchDox. "With the WatchDox technology, these devices are not required to be managed by the enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution. The organization is able to control the documents on those devices, whether they are the customers' or employees' personal devices." "SharePoint already makes it easy to share documents securely within the enterprise, and now WatchDox works with SharePoint to extend secure document sharing outside of the enterprise, said Owen Allen, consultant with SharePoint Directions, a consulting company that builds SharePoint applications.

WatchDox enables secure and leak-free document sharing and collaboration, inside and outside of organizations. WatchDox's secure document sharing and virtual data room software-as-a-service (SaaS) and on-premise solutions allow companies to maintain full control and tracking over documents - wherever they go. Privately held, WatchDox is venture capital-backed by Shasta Ventures, Gemini Israel Funds and Shlomo Kramer (co-founder of Check Point and Imperva).
