Erle Dardick, CEO of MonkeyMedia Software, Announces the Second Monthly Session of Catering Makes Sense: An Educational Series for Multi-Unit Restaurant Operators

VANCOUVER, British Columbia --(Business Wire)--

After a community-wide, positive response to the debut session, Erle Dardick, CEO of MonkeyMedia Software®, a provider of web-based education, strategy and software services for multi-unit restaurant operators, today announced the second monthly session of the company's complimentary catering education series, Catering Makes Sense: An Educational Series for Multi-Unit Restaurant Operators, moderated by Head of Catering Education, Lisa DeFeo. DeFeo created this series to build upon the strategies and best practices in Dardick's forthcoming book Get Catering! One Monkey's Perspective: Catering Defined for the Multi-Unit Restaurant Executive.

Leveraging the momentum of the first session, How to Sell Catering Effectively in the Multi-Unit Restaurant Environment takes place on Tuesday, April 26th at 1:00 PM PDT and will:

  • Identify the importance of the Catering Sales Manager and define the role's responsibilities
  • Discuss prospecting and teach how to identify the "heavy hitters"
  • Present formal selling techniques and methods of customer retention
  • Explore team building and conflict resolution within your four walls
  • Discuss technology solutions that significantly contribute to an effective selling strategy
  • Host a Q&A session where participants are open to share their ideas and experience. An important part of the webinar, the Q&A session will serve as a knowledge exchange between the registered 100+ participants from multi-unit restaurants around the nation.

"The first session was very well received, and we're proud to be able to use our team's experience to provide the multi-unit restaurant industry with an educational series that fully prepares today's restaurateurs to execute and maintain a successful catering program," said DeFeo.

Moderator Lisa DeFeo, MonkeyMedia Software's Head of Catering Education, will be joined by top executives in the multi-unit restaurant industry who will share their catering knowledge and best practices. Since 1990, DeFeo has worked in the restaurant industry, serving in management roles for national restaurants such as Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill and Boston Market, where she spent seven years growing and developing their catering program.
