5 thefts add up to almost $9,400 [The Moultrie Observer, Ga.]

(Moultrie Observer (GA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 07--MOULTRIE -- Three Colquitt County residents and two business employees reported Thursday they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included electronics, jewelry, food and clothing.

The value of the items reported stolen was estimated at about $9,391. Those who reported being the victims of theft were: --An employee at Wal-Mart on South Veterans Parkway reported a black male and three black females stole clothing, electronics, food and other items between 4:08 p.m. Wednesday and 11:35 a.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was about $1,695.

--An employee at Apperson's Pecans on Fifth Avenue Northeast reported a thief knocked a hole in a wall and stole 350 to 400 pounds of pecans between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 1:10 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen pecans was estimated at $500.

--Tabatha Bonner, of Fourth Court Northwest, reported a thief stole electronic items between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 2:34 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was $1,098.

--Chawneaguea Holt, of Fourth Street Southwest, reported a thief stole jewelry, office equipment and electronics Thursday. The value of the stolen items was $2,200.

--Wendi Dozier, of Holly Trail, reported a thief stole a Gateway laptop computer, an Optique 32-inch television, a Samsung 32-inch television, four Panasonic speakers, a gold panda coin ring and a pair of diamond earrings between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was $3,898.

Arrests Moultrie Police --Ariel Shartese Herring, 21, of 3109 S. Veterans Parkway, Apt. B-6, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

--Patrick Jerome Pridgen, 20, of 3109 S. Veterans Parkway, Apt. B-6, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct.

Sheriff's Office --Neven Lamare Massey, 46, of 229 Cherry St. in Norman Park, was charged Wednesday with DUI, failure to yield the right of way and driving on the wrong side of a roadway.

Other Incidents Sheriff's Office --Grady Lamb, of Old Albany Road, reported a female acquaintance broke out a window Wednesday. Damage was estimated at $125.

--Hugo Romalo, of Bluebird Road, reported a thief stole his cell phone and used it between Dec. 4 and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The amount of the bill was $140.44.

--Julie Harrison, of Smoky Bear Road in Norman Park, reported an animal attacked her daschund between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The dog had injuries to its chest area from the attack.
