Vivitek and NuVision Partner for New Co-Branding Venture
ATLANTA --(Business Wire)--
Vivitek Corporation, a leading manufacturer of environmentally
innovative visual presentation products, announces its partnership with
NuVision, the American flat screen connoisseur brand. Vivitek and
NuVision have partnered to develop and deliver high-performance, home
theater-grade projectors for the custom installation market.
The first projector, released under this partnership, is the ProVu P2
(Vivitek base model H9080HD LED). Both the P2 and H9080HD LED projector
have been well-received and praised by critics, demanding home theater
enthusiasts and professional installers.
Features of the ProVu P2 Powered by Vivitek include a Texas Instruments' (News - Alert)
DarkChip™ 4 Premium Spec DLP Cinema®, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and a
brightness of 800 lumens, professional grade optics (including long-,
short- and anamorphic lens options), ISF calibration support, full HD
1080p (1920x1080) resolution and Gennum's VXP® image processing
technology. As an LED-based projector, the P2 and H9080HD provide
stunning image quality unmatched by traditional lamp-based projectors.
The LED light source is estimated to provide more than 20,000 hours of
operation in normal viewing conditions, which equates to running a
traditional projector 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for just over 2
years without changing a lamp. The Luminus PhlatLight™ RGB LED module
replaces the traditional lamp and color wheel system, and in turn,
increases picture quality, expands the color spectrum and improves
reliability while maintaining 1080p resolution.

+/-30% horizontal), the ProVu P2 Powered by Vivitek allows installers to

automatically adjust black levels, the P2 is a home theater dream
projection system. It also comes with a wide variety of connectivity
options including HDMI 1.3a, RS-232c (NuControl), Component, Composite,
