Panasonic announces pricing and details of 2010 SD and HD camcorders

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Panasonic (NYSE: PC), a provider of imaging resources, yesterday announced pricing for its 2010 range of Standard Definition and High Definition camcorders, with all six models due to be available from mid-March.

The company said that the three HD camcorders HDC-TM55, HDC-HS60 and HDC-SD60 will have a suggested retail price (SRP) of USD529.95, USD699.95 and USD499.95 respectively. Featuring a 35.7mm wide angle lens and 25x optical zoom, with Panasonic's digital zoom capability extending that to 35x, all three camcorders record to SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards, while the HDC-TM55 also has 8 GB of internal memory and the HDC-HS60 has an internal hard disk drive with a 120GB capacity.

The three SD camcorder models, SDR-H85, SDR-T50 and SDR-S50, will have an SRP of USD349.95,USD269.95 and USD249.95 respectively. These camcorders have a 33mm wide angle lens and 78x zoom and also offer an Active mode with an optical image stabiliser to help suppress blur when filming for an extended period at high zoom levels. These models also record to SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards while the SDR-H85 has an 80GB hard disk drive and the SDR-T50 has 4GB of built-in memory.
