PHILIPPINES TELESERV TO OPEN 230-SEAT CALL CENTER FACILITY

MANILA, Jul 22, 2009 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX) -- Pilipinas Teleserv Inc., a provider of innovative teleservices solutions and call center-based services, will open its 230-seat third facility along Shaw Blvd. in Mandaluyong City by August or September.

In an interview, Raffy S. David, director of Teleservs marketing and quality assurance, said the new jobs will bring to around 900 the companys total employees by year-end.

"The third facility should be up in seven weeks time. We already started the (job) interview process for that," he said.

David said the new facility will be operated to meet the growing demand for their services by domestic clients.

He said the firm handles citizens and governments services, local telecommunications customer services, and food delivery services of fast food chains and restaurants.

David said Teleserv is the provider of the National Statistics Offices birth certificate delivery, marriage, death and certificate of no marriage; Department of Foreign Affairs express passport delivery, Philippine Overseas Employment Agencys Balik Manggagawa overseas exit clearance (OEC) delivery, and Maritime Industry Authoritys seamans book pick and delivery renewal services.

These services of Teleserv are all quite popular services that weve been running for several years already, MARINA being the newest e-government services that we have. There is a demand for it on the client side and on the government agency side, he noted.

David said their food delivery services are also rising, owing to the flourishing businesses of their clients. Food delivery systems are migrating from Metro Manila only to be going nationwide.

Likewise, David said the booming telecommunication firms cellular phone business has fuelled the growth his company is experiencing.

The Filipino-owned Teleserv has two other call center facilities located in Echague, Quiapo.

"Usually, we hire all the recent graduates of the university belt like San Beda, University of the East and Far Eastern University, without the competition from our competitors," he said.
