Construction work on Telecom Tower Islamabad briskly underway


LAHORE, Jun 30, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- The work is in full swing on the construction of a 24-storey Telecom Tower in Islamabad, which is being built by the Pakistan Telecommunication Trust, as per press release here Tuesday. NESPAK, a state organization of Consulting Engineers, has prepared a detailed design of this high-rise building the construction work of which is being supervised by it.



Being built on covered area of 53,700 square meters, the Telecom Tower comprises four level basements and ground plus 24 floors. The Tower will provide all utility services, parking for 400 cars in the basements and offices on all the upper floors. All the floors will be connected with five passenger lifts along with one panoramic lift, one cargo lift and three staircases. The building shall be centrally air-conditioned and will be provided with all modern communication and electrical systems along with a standby power generation system. The availability of computer network has been ensured. Presently construction is underway on the 20th floor of this Tower which on completion will be one of the tallest buildings in the federal capital.
