Cox Hampton Roads Names 'Virginia's Future Leaders' 18 Area Scholarship Recipients
CHESAPEAKE, Va., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Eighteen Hampton Roads students have been selected for Virginia's Future Leaders scholarships. The scholarship program is a partnership between Cox Hampton Roads, the Virginia Cable Telecommunications Association (VCTA), and the Donald A. Perry Foundation. The Donald Perry Foundation underwrites over $100,000 annually in scholarships for Virginia students.
The 2009 Virginia's Future Leaders Scholarship recipients are:

The VCTA will hold its Annual Scholarship Luncheon on July 17 in Charlottesville to recognize all of the state's scholarship winners. Cox will hold a reception on Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m., at its regional headquarters in Chesapeake, to honor and recognize the 18 winners from the Greater Hampton Roads region.
The Virginia's Future Leaders Scholarship program is a collaboration between local cable systems across Virginia in partnership and the Donald A. Perry Foundation. The Donald A. Perry Foundation is a statewide education initiative of the Virginia cable industry.
The 2009-2010 call for Virginia's Future Leaders Scholarship applications will go out in early 2010. Cox Communications encourages Hampton Roads area students to visit the VCTA website next January at http://www.vcta.com/ and apply for the scholarship.
