NTT to launch data center in Shanghai

Japanese NTT Communications, a provider of data and IP services, has agreed with China Telecom Shanghai to launch the Yuanqu data center in Shanghai on February 2, 2009.

NTT Communications has said that the data center will introduce Global e-VLAN point of presence to provide international wide-area ethernet service.

The facility will provide co-location, managed operation (monitoring, maintenance, security, etc) and network, including NTT Com's Arcstar Global IP-VPN and Global e-VLAN services. Shanghai NTT Telecommunications Engineering will provide customer support in Japanese, Chinese and English on a 24/7 basis.
